thought i'd not write yesterday so that you could all enjoy mark's wonderful photo as the latest post :) thanks ruthie
i'm in cheltenham again and just about to go and see mark. from what i hear, he is doing really well... but i remember what happened the evening after i wrote that the last time! mark is now in the cardiac ward and jokes about the average age of his new 'friends' with him on the ward. i think he brings the average down to about 80 :) it's good for him!
attached to this post are some wonderful photos sent by mark's friend Will. they were taken while they were in bolivia some years back. Will's comments to each photo are attached as comments to this post so do check them out.
cheers, and i'll try to give my reflections later on after i've seen mark and add some more pictures sent to me by 'The Lacey clan' :)

thoughts from Will:
'pizza': at this point in the 4 month trip, pizza was literally like manna from heaven!
Mark, do you remember that funny old geezer who was playing background organ music in that restaurant?! I would have included a picture of him aswell but frankly it was a bit pants.
'airport':
it wasn't all blood sweat and toil out there in the jungle y'know!
I'm sure this photo was taken way before we had any valid reason for being knackered out on the building site but hey it was hot!
'off the bridge': synchronised bridge diving in Guaya!
I'm not the greatest photographer in the world, but I was particularly chuffed with this one, the best of several attempts to go for a full on 'everyone diving in' action shot. The funniest thing about Mark is he looks like he actually believed he could fly!
Hi Mark
I know Andy sent a message yesterday but wanted to add my own note as usual! Kids look amazing, we also have 2, Jack and Rose. Rose is 5, Jack 20 months, both a handful. Rose is full of it just like me and Jack, well Jack is a boy I say no more!!
Sorry to hear you are feeling unwell, as Andy said we are thinking of you and sending our love all the way from Singapore. Keep your spirits up and keep smiling as I know you will.
Am remembering all those drunken nights in the flat at Cheltenham, I bet the stains in the carpet are still there!!
Take care.
E.x
