jumped on the train

work finished and i was on the train and flying down to cheltenham asap last night. arrived in the hospital just as ruthie was leaving at 8pm. spent 2 hours with mark. such a wonderful time. in the last 5 days he says that he can feel that his attitude has changed so much. he was talking about all the things that he is thankful for and how his perspective on life seems to have altered since being in hospital. we have come to know that one day he seems to be improving and then he can take a down turn because he is still very unwell and still in intensive care but he did seem quite perky yesterday. they are doing more and more tests - get a load of this - 170 so far! thats blood tests, small operations and procedures - just so they can find out what is wrong and then treat it. he is incredibly weak but managed to get out of bed while i was there. it did take him about 5 minutes to do because of all the muscle wastage but this is important exercise. i know that long blog posts get boring and i'd have have fallen asleep through this one by now :) but just to say, the messages of support and cards etc and general love have been very very powerful to him. thank you all and keep them coming.

Hi Mark, read this in a book a while back : "Life is not about avoiding the storms ,its about learning to dance in the rain." How true is that!! You seem to be going through a patch of heavy weather right now but I happen to own a certain red nose day DVD that shows how well you can dance. What a groovy mover; looking forward to sunnier times very, very soon.
lots of love Rachel(MI ROOM!)

Hey guys,
you are still so much in our thoughts & prayers, I was on an outward bound weekend in Wales with Megs school & we had a discussion on healing, so many of the children who don't know you prayed for you today... will catch up with one of you this week, you are both tremendous, lots our love the Keepers.
